When to Order a Replacement Battery

Our batteries will not last forever, and knowing when to replace them is a key part of preparing for rescue in an emergency. Most batteries contain three dates:

  • Production date: The production date of the battery. Some must be used within a certain production time frame.
  • Installation date: If your battery has one of these dates, it must be installed before the specified time to maintain the expected service life.
  • Expiration date: Once this date is reached, the battery may be exhausted or almost exhausted and needs to be replaced.

Although many models automatically check their battery capacity to ensure they can be used, it is also best to manually track these dates. We also recommend that you always prepare an additional AED battery for your device.

After installing new batteries, please recycle old batteries . If you need help finding a suitable replacement battery for your device, please read our replacement guide or contact our customer service team for assistance.
