Defibrillator refers to defibrillation with monitoring functions such as electrocardiography and blood oxygen. (1) Defibrillator is not a general monitoring device, especially for the use of defibrillation and pacing functions. It must be carried out by specially trained and qualified medical personnel, otherwise it will delay the recovery of cardiac arrest patients and the rescue of critically ill patients, or other accidents may occur.
(2) At present, the new defibrillator is equipped with AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) function. It is suitable for use by medical personnel trained in basic life support techniques, including how to use AEDs. Manual working mode should be used by emergency medical personnel trained in advanced cardiac life support technology.
(3) Improper use of defibrillation function may cause injury to relevant personnel. So, during defibrillation, no one should come into contact with the patient or any devices connected to the patient (including surgical beds or movable hospital beds).
(4) The power cord of the defibrillator must be single-phase three wire system, that is, the ground wire must be connected and grounded normally. During defibrillation, other medical electrical equipment that is susceptible to defibrillation damage should be removed. In addition, two defibrillators cannot be used simultaneously to avoid leakage current exceeding the limit value.
(5) When applying contact agent, do not use two paste shaped electrode plates to apply to each other, in order to avoid accidentally touching the electric shock switch and causing damage to the equipment. During defibrillation, the hands of the defibrillator should not touch the edges of the plasma electrode to avoid self injury.
(6) The malfunction of defibrillators requires engineers with corresponding professional technical levels to conduct maintenance, and after maintenance, they must be verified by professionals holding national or military metrological verification certificates before use, as defibrillators are mandatory medical devices.
