► Speaker and Microphone Assembly
The speaker and microphone assembly can be removed without removing any other assembly from the front enclosure.
► Preparation
1. Open the enclosure and remove it.
2. Secure the front enclosure
Place the front cover on the work surface with the display facing down and the printer in the lower left corner.
► Removal
1. Disconnect the speaker and microphone from the PCA. Disconnect the four-wire connector by pulling it upward (1).
2. Remove the screw. Loosen and remove the T-10 screw securing the plastic cover and bracket to the chassis.
3. Remove the shield and bracket. Lift the shield and place it upward (2).
4. Note the position of each speaker, microphone, and cables. The speaker is diagonally forward of the speaker bracket. The microphone fits into a well-formed recess in the enclosure.
5. Remove the speaker and microphone. No one has anything to do with this case; just take them both.
► Replacement
1. Install the speakers and microphone.
To. Place the speaker connectors on the bottom. There are two ribs on the bottom of the speaker stand; the speaker sits on top of the ribs.
B. Place the microphone in the slot. Align the microphone cable with the notch in the slot.
2. Attach the protector and bracket. Make sure the red-black 4-wire harness and the white 2-wire harness go under the bracket.
3. Replace and tighten the screws.
4. Connect the speaker/microphone assembly. Connect the four-wire connector to the processor PCA.
5. Close the case.
