Battery Safety Information
Warnings
1. Keep the battery cover closed during use.
To ensure specified performance and correct battery rating, use INVACARE Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries or 3 Duracell AA alkaline batteries (MN 1500 1.5V). When using disposable batteries, use of expired, incompatible or poor quality batteries may result in unacceptable performance (e.g. low battery warning time). Use of new high quality alkaline batteries is recommended.
2. If you receive a low battery notification on your TV The TV battery is low. Replace the battery T or notify the TV of the battery life. The battery should be replaced as soon as possible. Failure to meet these conditions will cause the device to shut down and end the examination.
3. Disposable batteries should be removed at the end of their useful life to prevent leakage. If a battery leaks, carefully remove the battery. Spilled product may irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact with skin. Clean the battery compartment as instructed in the "Maintenance and Hand Washing" section.
4. Certain abnormal conditions (e.g. short circuit) may cause the battery to overheat during use. If it becomes too hot to touch, it may cause burns to the patient or user. Remove the battery from the patient and leave it until it cools. Then remove and discard the battery. Request a check from your service provider to identify the cause of overheating.
Cautions
The use of AA lithium batteries or batteries with a terminal voltage greater than 1.6 V may damage the device.
When monitoring with the WLAN version of the MX40 (model 865352),
Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are the only approved power source. Disposable AA batteries are not compatible.

Insert a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, use the following procedure:
1 Remove the AA battery tray (if applicable).
2 Insert the battery pack, aligning the raised tabs with the cutouts on the bottom of the battery compartment.
3 Lift up the bottom sides of the battery door to open the battery compartment.
4 Observe that the splash screen on the front of the MX40 lights up
5 Close the battery door.
Removing the Batteries
The battery must be removed when the machineis not in use or in storage. To remove the battery Open the battery cover and push it through the opening at the bottom of the battery compartment to remove the battery.
device settings (Patient cable type, SpO2 mode, capacity, etc.) will be maintained when the battery is removed.
Do not use AA batteries with different power levels. It is recommended to use a new AA battery for each new use.
